Unnai allal gathi yenakku undo solvai,
Niye arulvai parama krupanidhi

Anupallavi

Kanaikkadal choozh ulagam tanile,
Kanda iha para sukham tandu yennai alave.

Charanam

Amma yenakku arul yen appa enave cholliyume,
Kunjara dasanume unai adainthen,
Kai mel palan arul deivame,
Tunai cheythu arul,
Brahma indirarukku ariyava.

English translation

Pallavi

Tell me whether I have any other course except you,
Please tell, Oh greatest treasure of mercy.

Anupallavi

In this world surrounded by sea,
To rule me by giving all pleasures,
That I see and which are going to come.

Charanam

This Kunjara dasa attained you by saying,
Mother, shower your grace on me, my father.
Please give me immediate result,
oh God who is rare even to Brahma and Indra.
