Kaliyuga varadan, kan kanda drivamay,
Kakshi alippadu pazhaniyile

Anupallavi

Malai magal aruliya sakthivel murugan,
Marakatha vannanaam thirumal marugan

Charanam

Kannudar kadavulin kan maniyay vandan,
Karthigai pendirgal anaippil valarndhan,
Vinnavar kurai yellam nodiyil kalaindhan,
Venduvor vendum mun varamellam handhaan.

English translation

Pallavi

The God who blesses in the kali age, appears as,
The God that you can see in Pazhani

Anupallavi

The Muruga with Shakthi Vel, born to the daughter of mountain,
The nephew of Lord Vishnu, who is of the colour of emerald.

Charanam

He came as the darling of the God with three eyes,
He grew up under the care of Karthigai maidens,
Within no time he solved the problems of devas,
Even before the people asked for boons, he gave them.
