English translation

Pallavi
Oh peaceful goddess Durga, who has a black body,
Who takes care of good people and rides on a lion

Anupallavi
Oh Goddess who shines like light, who cuts of avarice of people,
Who makes mercy her own and is ever auspicious

Charanam
Oh Goddess who lives in a pure, peaceful temple,
Oh mother who removes the sins from our actions,
Who practices Dharma, Who has eyes of a lass,
Who increases love and who gives us victory.
