Anupallavi

Karunal kadal endru unnai,
Kadai kettu Nambi vandan

Charanam

Alam arundi, aadar uyirai adaritha unadu keerthi,
Balakrishnan padi dinamum Nataraja murthy,
Vazhi atthanai disaai yilum palichidum Shiva Chidambaram,
Vazhi athanaiyilum palichidum shiva paramenum,
Mozhi katravar vazhi thunai,
Muppozhudum marangane.

English Translation

Pallavi

Oh what is the reason why you did not get pity on me?

Anupallavi

Hearing the stories, I was thinking,
That you were an ocean of mercy.

Charanam

I have heard your fame of saving every one by drinking poison,
Because Balakrishnan daily sang about it,
Oh Shiva Chidambaram which shines in all directions all the way,
Oh Divine Shiva who shines every where all the way,
As told by those learned in language all the time.
